Home Prep Guide
Wondering how to get your house ready?
The good news is you don't need to deep clean your entire house.
Focus on one or two rooms where
we'll be working.
How do you know where that is?
Consider the rooms:
-
with the best natural light
-
where the light makes unique shadows on the floor
-
with furniture you love
Not sure? Send photos and I'll help you decide
Photos of your space are incredibly helpful!
If you're able to send photos before the session, it gets my creativity in gear and helps me plan the best setups for your home.
Advance photos give me time to show up at your session with great ideas ready.
Surfaces!
Counters, tables, anything with clutter you don't want in your photos
Clear off that nightstand- you know, the phone charger, the half-empty water glass from three nights ago, the random receipts, the chapstick collection... we've all been there! 😄
Window Treatments
Consider what curtains you want up.
I'll bring some sheer white curtains that work beautifully with natural light.
Your existing curtains can either add character or clash with your outfits
Optional: Hire Help:
Feeling overwhelmed?
Hiring cleaners to prep your space is a perfectly valid option.
This session is about celebrating you, and if professional cleaning help lets you focus on the fun parts, it's worth it.
If You've Selected Bonus Sets
Wet look bonus?
Clean shower doors or a decluttered shower/tub area looks best. Clear away the shampoo bottle collection and soap buildup.
Blacklight bonus?
Declutter a space we can make fairly dark.
