All about pre-session planning

Updated: Nov 16

Once you've booked your session it's time for planning!

This is where your boudoir experience truly becomes yours. We'll follow the below plan.

Tell Me About You

Once your session is booked, I'll send you a short questionnaire with a few questions about you, your vision, and what you're hoping to get out of your session.

If you have no idea, that's okay!

The questions are a place for you to share what makes you feel confident, what you're excited about, and if there's anything specific you'd like to highlight or achieve during your time with me.

If you don't know yet, don't worry, we'll figure it out together. These aren't meant to feel like those dreaded group project icebreaker questions, I promise!

And if there's a question you'd rather skip? Skip it.

This is all about making the experience work for you.

Your Pre-Session Guides

To help you feel completely prepared and confident, I'll send you a set of guides that cover everything you need to know before your session. No need to stress or wonder if you're doing it "right" (there is no "right way").

Outfit Guide

Not sure what to wear? This guide walks you through choosing flattering pieces. I'll share tips on colors, fabrics, and styles, plus ideas for mixing and matching so you can create multiple looks. Whether you want romantic and soft or bold and fierce, this guide will help you put together a stunning outfit collection.

Preparation Guide

This guide covers all the little details that will help you look and feel your best on the day of your session. Here's the thing though: almost everything in this guide is optional. No time to do your nails? Never wear makeup? Skip it! I want you to look at your images and see YOU.

I'll walk you through skincare tips, what to do (and what not to do) the days/weeks/and night before, and offer helpful suggestions for the day of your session.

But the most important rule? Don't try anything new! We don't want your skin reacting strangely to a new product right before your session.

Oh, and the few things that aren't optional? Please get enough sleep, drink water, and eat breakfast. Your body and mind will thank you, and you'll feel so much better during your session. Think of this guide as your personal checklist for showing up feeling relaxed, refreshed, and authentically you.

Just the Basics

Short on time? I also provide a quick highlight guide that gives you the essential need-to-know info from both the Outfit and Preparation guides. It's perfect if you just want the cliff notes version or a last-minute refresher before your session.

Home Prep (for at home sessions)

A few tips on what to focus on. You're not deep cleaning your entire home. There’s not as much to do as you think. Still overwhelmed at this thought? You could hire a cleaning service if you'd like. But- I have done a session for someone selling their home and moving to a different state. Boxes everywhere. We had a great session and created beautiful images you'd never even know were in the middle of moving.

My Goal: Your Comfort and Confidence

Planning shouldn't feel overwhelming- it should feel exciting!

My goal with this step is to take any guesswork or stress out of the equation so you can simply look forward to your session. I want you to walk in feeling prepared, supported, and ready to celebrate yourself.
