Don't give in to these common hesitations

The two biggest hesitations I hear when women think about booking?
Losing weight first.
And not having enough time.
Let’s talk about both.
“I’ll book after I lose 10 pounds…”
This one comes up the most. I know it sounds backwards, but honestly? That’s the reason to book.
We’ve been taught to see our bodies as a work-in-progress, like we’re not quite there yet. But life keeps shifting, and no one prepares us for how many changes we’ll navigate. (Seriously- no one warned us about perimenopause?!)
Your session doesn’t need to be a reward for changing your body. It can be a chance to connect with yourself in this season of life.
If you’re exhausted by yet another body change and every shift feels like too much- You deserve to feel comfortable as you are right now. I don’t know about you, I wouldn’t trade the life I’ve built or the lessons I’ve learned just to squeeze back into my high school clothes.
Every curve, scar, or stretch mark is proof of what you’ve carried and overcome. Every version of you has done something amazing. And that’s worth celebrating- today, not “someday.”
“I’m too busy…”
I hear this pretty often- and it usually comes from women who need the pause the most. Life pulls us in a hundred directions, and it feels like there’s never a good moment to stop. Between deadlines, dishes, and just trying to hold everything together, it’s easy to forget how important a break is.
But here’s what I’ve learned: when I carve out even a little time for myself, I show up better everywhere else. Think about how much lighter you feel after a haircut or a massage. Now imagine that reset, multiplied. That’s what a session can be- a deep recharge, not just another thing on your calendar.
I see new moms, exhausted and running on love and fumes. For them, a session is a rare breath of air- a reminder that they’re still a whole person, not just a caretaker.
That reminder is something we all need. A photo session can be the pause that helps you see yourself again- the woman behind the to-do lists, the deadlines, the constant giving.
If you’re feeling nervous or unsure about anything else, let me know. I’d love to help you feel as comfortable and prepared as possible.
